Insoles or Orthotics as they are known are an external device applied to the foot to improve the function by controlling motion, providing support through stabilizing the gait, reducing pain through transferring load to another area, correcting flexible deformities and preventing progression of fixed deformities.

Foot orthoses can be a custom made device where a foam impression is taken of the bottom of your foot or a ready made device. You will find both of these on this site, both types will provide support for the foot by redistributing ground reaction forces as well as realigning foot joints whilst standing and walking. They are used for a variety of soft tissue inflammatory conditions such as:

  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Inflammation of the forefoot joints
  • Morton's neuroma
  • Pain associated with the ball of the foot
  • Diabetes
  • Pronation / Supination
  • Metatarsalgia
  • Rhumatoid Arthritis
  • Painful feet
  • Hallux rigidous (Bunion pain)
  • Flat feet
  • High arched feet

You will also find full length cushioning comfort insoles which are universally cut (size 12 wide toe) for you to trim to fit your shoes or boots. Each colour denotes the different quality's and features.
